Guess who's decided to show up?
Okay, so this post is totally a desperation of mine in order to keep myself awake for the next working hours, considering I've been running -more like dragging- in 3 1/2 hrs of sleep in the last 2 days. I swear that if I see the words "Bella, Edward, Jacob, Vampire, Werewolf" in the same text again, I'll pass out. *passes out*

*wakes up* So here I am to let you know everything that has happened since I last posted -Ouch!-. I'll try to keep it simple, but you probably know it won't work that way...do u have 3 hs of reading to spare?

I'll make this all into parts, that will get things running smoother!

COMING TO BALTIMORE

What a trip. To make things short, know this: I almost lost my flight twice, which is something only someone like me would manage to do. After over 11 hrs in the airport/airplane sitting around, I happily landed in Baltimore. Even happier with the fact that neither me or Jacob can figured out flights schedules and it turned out we arrived at exactly the same time (he had spent a few days in LA to attend this year's Coachella). *Note* He looooved it so much.

Feeling the humidity in the air was great, my hair stood 3 inches from my head -that part wasn't so great. I was supposed to meet this girl I found online in order to head straight to the Hanson concerts I was going to. I felt excited about my upcoming trip, tired as I was, but excitement slightly faded as I actually 'met' the girl I was going to spend the next week with. She was nice enough to give Jacob a ride home though, and I got to see the place I was going to be habitating for the next 4 months. Something caught me off guard: it was colder than a polar bear's toe nails.

Baltimore's Harbor, during the summer.

Still the harbor...

For some reason, all I remembered was how instantly warm it was in Florida and I didn't make the connection that that was because it was ALWAYS warm in Florida. So, thanks goodness Brazilians have no idea how cold is 'really cold' and my mother made me pack my winter gear in order to *travel to Brazil, therefore I did have some warm clothing packed. *more info on that Brazilian trip to come soon. (not bluffing, it's even written already)

We dropped off Jacob at the apartment complex we were going to live, my eyes shining in the opposite direction to our house, where -just on the other side of the street- a mall made my hopes for our new place much more optimistic. Jacob struggled to be optimistic about that. Me and this other girl started our trip. I wont make you suffer through all the details of my little advanture, but I MUST say that half way into it I found myself sitting on the floor of a parking lot crying like a baby with Jacob on the phone while Hanson made their way right in front of me. Yes, I'd have prefered to be home than be there. It was not that I didn't like the concerts, not that I didn't enjoy actually getting to know the band I had been a fan of for over 10 years; I was just fed up with being away from home and having to swallow my rage against Jackie, the girl who was driving me to the concerts and also INSANE. That day, I finally figured it out: I can't do people.

On a side note, my trip wasn't so hiddeous, I DID have a great time and made an AWESOME friend. I took what seemed to be a million pictures (that I didnt like very much, but fufilled its purpose); I walked barefoot for a total of 4 miles in all sorts of conditions, slept on a sleeping bag for a week and struggled with a huge tent that wasnt meant to stand on the city's concrete sidewalk. I had a blast as far as adventure goes, in fact I think I acquired a new hobby: Camping in the middle of the city, on a sidewalk, with a bunch of crazy people. It's hilarious. Everyone should do that at least once!

Here's a bit of what it was like:

Fans in line. First concert, Sayreville- NJ

Still in Sayreville I got to see one of my favorite photographers working, I was happier than I could have been that day, it was a all-in-one package.

Camping line in Falls Church -PA.

Walk talk. Hanson in the middle. Allentown -PA

My pride and joy! lol The last concert was in Lancaster-PA.

HOME

Being around Jacob again made me feel grateful I had him to come back to. I came to realize that even though we are never really a settled couple, moving everywhere in a short period of time, I can't say I don't have a home. I do. It's Jacob. I sound cheesy but that's the most important conclusion I got from everything I had gone through. Most people I love and appreciate being with, are spread all over the world...it doenst matter what I do, where I go, who I meet- they'll always come and go, I've seen it repeat itself so many times now that I'm almost getting used to it.

Jacob is the one thing that remains always by me. Maybe that's why I freak out everytime I'm away from him, it's like the only certainty in my life was taken away from me...to put it in the dramatic way. I wont sweeten you all up any longer, I just thought you all should know that even though it doesnt seem like it, we're always home.

Jacob and his love for hats.

This was at the Harbor, the day I came back from my little adventure.

I find this picture quite humorous, it does looks like the statue is grabbing me by the hair as I look rather pained. This was in Gettysburgh's battlefield.

We have gone many places and it has been great. We do try to enjoy ourselves as much as it's possible. This is how we are. We've learned a whole lot the last few months and I find it fascinating how much we've grown together. Truly, we seem like two children, but I think we get it; we know more than some people give us credit for. It hasn't been easy to learn the hard way all the time, and it's funny how different we are: Optimistic and Pessimistic trying to share the same world. It's very overwhelming sometimes but I'm glad we go through what we go through. It does make me scared for the future though...is this all a preparation for things to come? I'll try to not torment myself with my NF mind.

This is IT for today, I have the other parts for my post written already so I'll try and post them slowly so you don't get too much information at once. Thanks you for all you do! We love you and LOVE hearing from you!

J&K Day

Oh-GEEZ!

Why am I sooo lazy lately? Or even better: WHY DO I ALWAYS TRY TO FIND AN EXCUSE FOR MY PROCRASTINATION?? Oh, well, doesn't everybody? I have been...not THAT busy, really. Things are pretty much the same, I'm still working at the Boys & Girls Club and Jacob is still up to some alarm system selling...How great is that?

Last week was the lamest week of all time! Jacob had to go to the Sunshine State (a.k.a Florida) for a whole week while I stay in the dark/depressive state (a.k.a Utah...valley?!). To make matters worse, right before Jacob left I was surprised by a pink eye...which was my companion during the whole stinking week as nobody else wanted to share its company! I do have to be fair and THANK A LOT mom and dad Day for taking me to Red Robins on Friday, which I appreciated very much (oh bless those salmon and chips!)! Also, mom tried to take me home and leave me there but I grabbed my 5 luggages and infiltrated their midst for the following days...I was so lonely and being with them really makes me happy. Jacob FINALLY came back home...because he HAD to...he has some red spots throughout his body, which makes him happy as it is, after all, SOME color.

We are getting more and more excited about the April. For those who doesn't know, April is a very special month in this family, as it's end of school and beginning of summer sales. Hey, don't get me wrong, working isn't all that exciting, but it's someplace else...someplace OUT of Utah, and THAT my friends, is darn exciting! Here's what will be happening the following days:

EASTER: Lame. lol Just kidding...it's just so different from Brazil. This year we will be spending Easter with the Walkers and I'm all about that! We are very excited to spend some time with Loganites and I'm excited to see some egg hunting...even though the eggs are NOT made out of chocolate in a non-realistic size.

APRIL 12TH (I think): We will be going to another Ben Harper concert. Perhaps we will brake the fence and meet him yet again! The concert will be in Veil, Colorado. So, can you feel where I'm going with my APRIL AS THE BEST MONTH OF THE YEAR?! Oh, wait...it's not over!

APRIL 24th: Jacob is leaving for the summer. First he'll be stopping by California and catching some awesome concerts at Cochella. He'll stay there for the 3 days of the festival and I'm sure he'll have a blast! After that, he'll embark on our little surviving corolla and drive across the country again, this time to BALTIMORE.

April 28th: While Jacob is having the time of his life catching desert sun in California, I'll be catching a plane to Baltimore. But hey, you were there thinking: Lame, what do you mean she's missing out on Jacob's super adventure?? No way my dear relatives, I've got an adventure myself...one in which Jacob is GLAD he's missing out (in some ways, I think the same about his!). Arriving in Baltimore, a friend of mine whom I've never met (DO NOT freak out, I will explain!)is picking me up at the airport and we'll start road tripping to Sayreville, New Jersey, then Falls Church, VA, from there to Allentown and Lancaster, PA. Now, in case you're totally puzzled and can't make sense of it all...trust me, when I tell you the reason, it will confuse you even more: HANSON. No further explaining needed, right?! HEY, hold that giggle! Oh, wait, only teenagers Hanson fans giggle...HOLD THAT LAUGH, then!

May 3rd: After all that joy, Jacob and I will be energized enough to face our summer challenge in Baltimore!

May 8th: Energies end. Juuuuuust kidding!

Baltimore: How excited is that, huh? Huh? Green and humidity, diversity and happiness, fun...oh, all those things that Baltimore will bring! Hopefully it will bring a whole bunch of sales as well! We are really happy with our decision, of course we are not there yet and that might change, but I do remember how happy Jacob was in D.C and hey, that's just a few miles away! So, we are just beyond excited about the upcoming events and that's what's dragging us to school, work and Utah Valley in general! Actually, it's what gives me a push as Jacob is already accepting the reality after so many years!

Still talking about Utah Valley (sorry...), if you haven't watched the film "This Divided State", please do it...or don't, really depends because it might enrage you just as much as it enraged me. It's a documentary about the time when Michael Moore came over to UVSC, and how some people tried to stop the school from having him speak to its students. I keep trying to imagine Jacob going through that whole mess and staying sane and not killing someone: Very Nice, Sweets! Good Job!

Oh gosh...I didn't mean to make this so big! Sorry about that!! Anyways, people have not been posting very often (like me)...so thanks Ali and kids for doing so!! We love hearing from you. The others (that includes me): SHAME ON YOU! hahaha So, here's a couple of terrible pics of me and Jacob skating, just to give this post some life...

That's all folks! See ya!!

Oh geez, what have become of me? I absolutely abandoned this blog! I'm sorry...turns out the idea of NO ONE reading it is not very inspiring after all!
So, we haven't done MUCH lately. It did go to the Sundance Film Festival and THAT was pretty sweet. We got to actually see Jessica Alba (no paparazzi picture of the moment), Dennis Hopper and Michael Madsen (yes for pictures!). Of course it's sorta lame that we didn't see other famous poeple, but Jacob never realized Sundance was "general admission" and has never tried to go up there. Watching the movies for the first time they're introduced to the audience is a pretty sweet thing. Usually the director and the movie cast will be in the place, watch the movie with you, answer any question you might have after the movies and sometimes hang out for pictures and stuff! How cool is that? I've never in my life thought I'd get to meet a famous person and it's always weird when it happens because it's kind of hard to believe that the people from TV are real and all. (ok, you can laugh now!). Anyways, we had a really good time!

I haven't done much lately..haven't evne taken too many pictures! (owwww, surprising, I know). I've been in that mood where I'll be sitting and waiting for something interesting to happen! lol something that is coming up and is very axciting is mine and Jacob's first anniversary on February 3rd! I can hardly believe it has been one year already! Time has passed sooo fast, it seems like yesterday that I was all confused trying to figure out how a LDS wedding in the States should look like! hahaha I'm so glad I had so many helpful people to guide me!! This one year has been crazy, we gone everywhere and done so many things. I'm so happy I'm married! I love Jacob so much, he's the only person who can put up with my madness 24/7, I still can't believe I tricked him into marring me! lol Thank you so much for being my BB!!

Ow well, anyways...I've got to go...I need to eat something...that's ALL I've done lately, can't wait for the summer!! I'll leave you guys with some pictures, the first ones are from Amanda, or Amandinha as we call her (and she doesnt understand), she's been a great friend putting up with our craziness and my bad moods! Thanks girlie!

1st: Reading her scriptures before bed (I feel bad about myself! lol) and Walking in the snow...oh what a crappy weather we've had...seriouly.

Ladies and Gentleman, Dennis Hopper, one craaazy old dude!

Michael Madsen...who doesn't seem to act all that much as he is exactly as you'd imagine!

And here's my dear husband Jacob having the time of his life!

Okay, now stop everything. I have been trying desperatly to find pictures taken by other people from the day I took the walk with Hanson. I finally found these pics and I LOVE it...Jacob busted laughing when he saw it because he said my face says A LOT of my state seeing Hanson so close to me for the first time: I was about to callapse! hahahaha check it out:

Me, trying to breath IN and OUT very slowly...

Here's a shot of me playing retarded. I looked like I couldn't believe my eyes! haha

This is a funny one...here's me trying to look normal by consentrating on anything but WHO was RIGHT by my side.

Pretty much giving up life! I was to the point where I needed to be supported by the wall behind me! Note side for Jacob in the back! hahahaha This one is hilarious!

Anyway, I just thought I'd share my weekness of that day with the world! hahaha I love photography, it's wonderful to have still images of what happened...sometime I forget.

PS: This text has NO editing...and I don't want to edit it right at this moment!!

About this time last year I was getting to know all about America (which doesn't take long when you come to think about it). I set foot in the States on January 1st, maybe because I couldn't wait any longer...maybe becuase that would be easier for my memory to register the moment...maybe becuase that was when our plane tickets was available. And as we are talking about ticket availability, let's not forget that New Years is one of the busiest days to be flying and as we were stand bys, we got stuck in Cincinnatti for 3 days! So here was my first impression of America. I tried really hard by that time to make sense of everything I was seeing: HUGE chips bags, HUGE bras, HUGE panties, HUGE refillable pop "jugs", HUGE trucks, HUGE stores...have that impression changed? BAAANNNNG! Nops...and here are some other things that should be explained to any foreingner coming to America:

Wal-Mart: It's the PURE form of American culture. I'd dare to say that Wal-Mart IS America. You can find everything that makes America what it is, right there, in one place: hamburgers, donuts, huge everything, illegal immigrants...you name it!

Sunflower Seeds: WHAT? Now, try and explain to someone like me the reason for one to suck on SEEDS as a past time.

HUGE trucks: My most dear non-American friend, to understand this statement fully, go ahead and write the following on you Google search bar: HUMMER. Now that you see the picture I see in my head, I feel compelled to ask the following "how many human being do you thing ride in a truck such as a HUMMER?" ...oh very good my fellow immigrant, "ONE" is the answer. Now why do they need such big cars that pollute the air we breath? Well, now you can go ahead and answer that one question becuase the reasons may vary and I can't get any incapable of offending someone.

SODA: Here's something that would NEVER work in Brazil...actually, it could even serve as a weapon of self destruction: refillable soda. Man, kiddos would go c-r-a-z-y! Are you kidding me? I can drink as much I can fit in my body? There would have people changing the amount of bloog in the veins for soda.

Water: Right as I got here I watched a very stupid movie called "stupidity". I didn't like the movie at that time...and I don't think I'd like it now, but the movie plot was pretty much this: A guy get send to the future where everybody (becuase of technology and all) got really stupid. So, one of the problems they had was that no plants would ever grow and THAT was becuase they were watering the plants with Gatorade. As crazy as it might sound...I don't see why not that wouldn't happen! Everybody around here will drink this "pumped" water. It's not very likely to find someone drinking regular water and that's kind of scary if you ask me.

I could totally go on forever about every single thing that got me thinking in this place but that would take way too much writing. People have tried to explain those things to me more than once...but thing is, culture cannot be explain, it HAS to be borned with and lived in order to be understood. Even though I have lived here for one year and will live here for most of my adult life, I'll never fully understand everything that Amercians do and think. And that's not a bad thing, I have my own culture with crazy things of its own and those who haven't born and lived in it will never understand either! So this is my post for today. I'll be posting what it is like to be a Braziian here very soon...just so you guys know I don't make fun of "the others" only!

Here are some pictures of my crazy past year:

On the plane on New Year's coming to America!

Vising Salt Lake City for the first time.

After receiving my endownment at the temple in Logan, Utah.

Getting married for all eternity to my sweetheart!

Forever and ever! I'd go any distance to be with the man I love!

In Florida enjoying one of the beauties to be in America...getting the stuff I love exactly when they're released! hahahaha

Another beauty...getting to know incredible artists like BEN HARPER!

No need for comments or explanation, getting to meet Hanson was definetely out of any plans I made for last year!

Let's see what this year surprises me with!
